What’s happening at Glendair?

As you have probably seen from the numerous photos posted on our Facebook page, there has been a lot going on at Glendair Dental Practice!
But what exactly has been happening lately? Have we had an extension? These are the questions we’ve been asked a lot, so we’ll be revealing all right here in this blog post!

The story begins with Matthew. As many of you are probably aware, Mat is the principal dentist here at Glendair.
For the past seven years, Mat has been busy gaining advanced qualifications in both dental implant placement and complex dentistry. At the same time, he has continued to deliver the high standards of care that you have come to expect at Glendair.
As you can imagine, this has become a bit of a juggling act for Mat! It has resulted in him working longer hours whilst trying to balance this complex work around his normal working day.
After a while (and after much thought and deliberation), Mat decided to devote all of his time to this rapidly developing area of complex dentistry. With that came the decision to build a brand new surgery, creating an implant referral centre at our practice.
So after a lot of planning and preparation, work finally began bright and early on Monday 12th September 2016.
Instead of extending the practice, the plan was to renovate the current space we had, so the first job was to say goodbye to our staff room and clear EVERYTHING out.
Who needs a removal company when you have the Glendair team!?
After that, the fabulous builders with DB Dental arrived to get started!
We captured the whole journey in photographs so you can see exactly how the hallway and staff room were transformed.
Here we go!
With everything removed, the builders began to rip everything out.
Once this was complete, the wall that separated the staff room from the corridor was knocked down, to create a larger space.
The bricks and rubble were then cleared away.
A new wall was then put up to create the patient consultation room!

Exactly one month later, it was time to say to farewell to the builders who had been brilliant throughout the whole process! Pleasant, professional, immaculate… they were a joy to have around!
With just a week to go before the first patients were booked in, the painter and decorators then arrived to add the finishing touches.
So, we can now finally reveal our brand new surgery…. drum roll please!
Tah-da! We absolutely love our new surgery and we think the canvases and inspirational quote really add personality to the room! Mat and Sophie have already settled in and we can’t wait for you to see it when you visit us next!
